Concrete paver by plastic mold production process

Due to the low cost and durability of plastic paver molds, they are widely used in the construction industry, such as: Roman columns, hollow blocks, paver bricks, etc. Plastic paver molds have a wide market share, let us learn how to use plastic paver molds to make bricks, which are composed of a pigment layer and a concrete base layer:
1.Pigment(Surface) layer
The surface layer material: White cement 50kg, pigment 3kg, brightener 1.5-2kg,water reducing agent 2-2.5kg,sand 50kg. Mix the surface layer
material above evenly. Then put them into the plastic moulds on vibrating table to flat. Take down the moulds from the vibrating table and add
the backing material after 10-30min(depend on the temperature).
2.Concrete(Backing) layer
Backing material: cement 50kg(Potland cement 400#), sand 100kg(stone ash), grain of the stone 150-175kg,water reducing agent 2.5kg. Mix the
backing material above evenly. Add the backing material into the moulds to vibrate to flat. Don’t need to vibrate for a long time. Put them on the
frame plate for 1-2 days and then release the moulds(If temperature below 200
,then need 3 days). Don’t put the pavers under the strong sunshine
or in the water after releasing the moulds. They shall be placed neatly and keep ventilation. 15 days later can be used for paving.
Note:
A. The time of mixing the surface layer material: 40mintes if add the brightener; around 30min without the brightener.
B. The time of vibrating: the surface layer material need to cover the mould’s base. Don’t be too thick, but a little thin. It will take about 11S to vibrate the backing material to flat.
C.If producing without Surface layer, then do Step two directly.
D.For the paver strength,normally it can meet the compressive strength to 400-500kg/cm2,if you want higer,then you can choose 500# or
600#,or mix with the water reducing admixture(harder) to meet yr own requirement.
