Rubber plastic moulds for paving stone

Rubber and plastic molds are commonly used for creating paving stones or concrete pavers. These molds are flexible, durable, and reusable.

Here’s a general overview of the process of using rubber or plastic molds for paving stones:

Mold Selection: Choose a rubber or plastic mold design that matches the desired shape and size of the paving stone. There are various options available, including molds that replicate different patterns, textures, and sizes.

Mold Preparation: Clean the mold thoroughly and apply a release agent or mold conditioner to ensure easy removal of the finished paving stone. This step helps prevent the concrete from sticking to the mold.

Mixing Concrete: Prepare a concrete mix specifically designed for paving stone applications. The mix typically consists of cement, sand, aggregates, and additives to enhance durability and workability.

Pouring Concrete: Pour the mixed concrete into the mold, ensuring that it fills all the details and contours of the mold. Use a trowel or vibrating table to evenly distribute the concrete and remove any air pockets.

Smoothing the Surface: Smooth the surface of the poured concrete using a trowel or screed. Make sure the concrete is level and even with the top of the mold.

Curing: Allow the concrete to cure and harden according to the manufacturer’s instructions. This usually involves keeping the mold in a controlled environment with proper temperature and humidity levels for a specific period.

Demolding: Once the concrete has sufficiently cured, carefully remove the mold from the paving stone. Flex the rubber or plastic mold gently to release the stone without causing any damage.

Finishing Touches: Depending on the desired look, you can further enhance the appearance of the paving stone by adding texture, color, or other surface treatments. This can be achieved through techniques like staining, painting, or applying a sealant.
